Do you think division is a good thing ............................................or a bad thing?

I worked in a prison ...and we had to separate the trouble-makers from those who were attempting to serve out their time.  We also had to make sure those in prison did not escape ...so as to guarantee the divide between those in the prison and those outside.

They were not incarcerated for their race, religion, or gender ...as may be the case in some nations. That is bad division.  So, the answer to the first question is:  Both.

But, I've heard that racial division is increasing in our nation ...and mostly that claim has been directed towards black and white.  My second question is:  How can you believe that lie?

How can it be a simple black and white issue?  If 13% of the population in our country is black ...and a black President is elected to two terms of office, then it seems to me that mostly the 78% white people voted him in.  And I don't believe that would have happened not that long ago.  Therefore, I do not believe we presently have a racially divided nation.

Yes, we do have a nation that has some racial dividers ...and among them are many in the media, who've seemed to have sold out to some political agenda. And part of that agenda seems to list Hispanics as a separate race on one occasion (for instance, concerning the topic of immigration), then lists them among the 78% white population in another discussion (striving for a court conviction).  So, statistics can conveniently be used to inform or to divide.  The third question then becomes:  What political agenda would use division to their advantage?

I believe the answer lies within those sowing the early seeds of dictatorship.

The 4th question is:  Can you work for someone that you don't know you are working for?

That answer is easy ...the answer is: Yes.

There are two main dividers:  God and Satan.  You can't truly know God without knowing Jesus.  But, you can work for Satan without knowing it.  Those who say we are a racially divided nation ...who do you think they are working for?

I'll give you a hint on that one:  It's not God.

So, if God doesn't want to divide, why did I just say He does?

Luke 12:51, states, "Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division."

Male and female ...Jesus will return for both.  No race will be excluded.  But, the peace on earth is in our hearts ...and when practiced, it can also surround us on earth.  Yet, the true everlasting peace is in Heaven.  And I believe the necessary division Jesus speaks about ...is because of one who convinced a third of the angels to divide against God.  We know they directly opposed God then, but the final question is:  How do they oppose God today?

The answer is simple ...tragically so!!  It is by convincing as many of us vulnerable humans as possible to go against His ways.  It doesn't just suffice to say His Name and claim to follow Him ...yet, it is not by how well we follow Him either.  It is by acknowledging His ways, and not creating an agenda against His principles and standards ...because, if we do that, we are ignoring what we are given as true.  And if we do that, how can we really know Him?  Of course, we all make mistakes and go against Him at times ....that's called sin.  And He loves us, and stands ready to forgive us.  Yet, I believe we should strive to love His ways.

The real division is the same as it always was.  Lilies, daffodils, and tulips make for a beautiful garden ...but, if you use the tools of destruction to divide the blossom from the stem, the growth is cut and it makes for a very unhealthy garden.  The cutworm will leave it to die, but Jesus prepares a nice vessel for us ...and I believe that's a beautiful arrangement.
